Dr. Emma McGrath
Emma qualified from the University of Cambridge in 2004 with a Distinction inSurgery. Post-qualification, she undertook a hospital-based training programme in Paediatrics at Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the West Suffolk Hospital, followed by a GP Training Scheme in Cambridge.
Over the course of her GP training, she completed hospital placements in general medicine/care of the elderly, emergency medicine, psychiatry and obstetrics/gynaecology, and was awarded Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2011.
She has gained post-graduate qualifications in Child Health, Women’s Health,Diabetes Care, and Medical Education and Leadership. She regularly teaches medical students from the University of Cambridge, and is a GP Trainer.
She has been a Partner in a busy NHS General Practice in Cambridgeshire since 2013, and very much enjoys the challenge and variety of medicine encountered in General Practice.
Emma is interested in all areas of General Practice, including treatment of acute minor illnesses in children and adults, management of chronic medical conditions (e.g. hypertension, asthma, diabetes),mental health, women’s health and family planning, and health promotion/screening.
Emma’s working days are Wednesday mornings, Thursday afternoons and Saturday mornings at the Nuffield and Tuesday mornings at the Day Clinic
