Comprehensive 30-minute antenatal check
We offer a comprehensive 30-minute antenatal check (£170) designed to support women in early pregnancy, providing clinical assessment, reassurance and time to discuss screening options in detail.
During this appointment, your doctor will:
- Check blood pressure and perform a urine test
- Arrange blood tests if clinically indicated
- Discuss your medical history, pregnancy symptoms and any concerns
- Provide clear counselling around prenatal screening options, including NIPT
- Arrange a blood test for NIPT if required
- Offer follow-up advice and ongoing support, including interpretation of results and next steps if required
Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT)
We provide NIPT, a highly accurate blood test that screens for common chromosomal conditions, including trisomy 21 (Down’s syndrome), trisomy 18 and trisomy 13.
Key points:
- The test can be performed from 10 weeks of pregnancy
- A dating or viability scan must have been performed beforehand
- Cost of the NIPT test: £325
- NIPT is a screening test, not a diagnostic test, and results are interpreted in the context of your overall clinical picture
