Dr Caroline Cooper is an experienced women’s health doctor and Fellow of the College of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FCSRH). She has over 20 years of experience supporting women with their reproductive and sexual health needs, from adolescence through to menopause.

Background

Caroline has a holistic and compassionate approach, considering lifestyle and wellbeing alongside medical care. She works in partnership with each patient, ensuring you feel listened to, supported, and confident in making choices about your health.

Alongside her clinical work, Caroline is a nationally recognised trainer in contraception and sexual health. She has trained many doctors across the UK in fitting coils and implants and directs a national intrauterine device training programme. She is also a founding member of the Primary Care Women’s Health Society, which campaigns nationally to improve women’s health and provides trusted education for both professionals and patients.

Nationally recognised trainer in sexual and reproductive health, fitting coils and implants. She is the director of the Intrauterine device training programme run by Bayer pharma. Over the years she has trained many of the GPs in Cambridgeshire!

Caroline was a GP for 17 years, having gained membership of the Royal College of General Practice (MRCGP). She championed women’s health and completed an MSc in Community Gynaecology.
6 years in a Community Gynaecology clinic seeing women referred from general practice with menstrual, hormonal, contraceptive and fertility issues.

Lime Tree Clinic providing contraception and sexual health care in Cambridge for 14 years. She treated patients with a wide range of sexual health issues and provided a contraception referral service from GPs for complex cases.
