Dr. Harinder Kaur Virdee is an experienced General Practitioner based in Cambridge, offering comprehensive and compassionate medical care to a diverse patient population. She qualified from Leeds Medical School in 1995 and has since dedicated her career to providing high-quality primary care services across various settings.

Dr. Virdee currently also works as a Salaried GP at Newnham Walk Surgery, Cambridge, where she manages a patient cohort that includes a significant proportion of university students as well as residents from the city centre. She is actively involved in the practice’s on-call rota and provides Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) services. Additionally, she contributes to extended access shifts through the Cambridge GP Network and undertakes locum work as needed.

During this time, she played a key role in both clinical and managerial aspects of the practice, serving as the lead for practice nurses and healthcare assistants, representing the surgery at Primary Care Network (PCN) meetings, and overseeing minor operations such as toenail surgery, cyst removals, and skin lesion excisions. Her leadership helped foster a personal and approachable environment within the practice, catering to the needs of a mixed urban and semi-rural population.
